Background
I have a remarkably unique friend who is fascinated by historical Instruments. Be that pianos, harmoniums, or church organs. So when he heard that a church was closing down, he purchased the organ with all his savings, disasembled it, transported it to an old factory he had access to and began rebuilding it there. He is still rebuilding it as of this writing.
Concept
The organ console controls the pipe electrically, through approximately 300 cables that are then multiplexed to one solenoid valve per pipe. It should be possible for me to record these signals and recreate them through custom, modern electronics. Creating this is an ongoing side-project.
Specs:
- 300 signals
